Frequently asked questions
Where are you based? I work from 9 Slater Street, L1 4BW—parking support is provided. This is halfway up/down Bold Street.
How long are the sessions? They typically last 60 minutes. Some people prefer 90 minutes (for an increased fee).
How much will each session cost me? As of April 2026, the cost is £60 per session; however, I offer a sliding pay scale from £35 to £60 to
support clients with varying levels of income.
Do you work with young people? Yes, I can work with young people aged 18+ on Saturdays from the Slater Street venue.
However, I do offer a limited number of low-cost sessions available for young people, students, unemployed clients, and low-income clients.
We can discuss the subject during the initial consultation, so don't be afraid to ask.
Do you offer a block booking discount? Yes, again, this can be negotiated at the initial consultation.
How frequent will sessions be? You may wish to meet once weekly or twice weekly; the choice is yours.
What if I need to change my appointment? I will do my best to accommodate any changes to your appointments with notice.
What is the cancellation policy? I do ask for a 24-hour notice to cancel or change an appointment. This helps me effectively maintain
my schedule and honour other commitments. If you do not show, I will assume you no longer want therapy.
How do I pay? I accept BACS transfers and cash. After booking, I will provide you with bank details.
Can you guarantee me confidentiality? Absolutely, confidentiality is the cornerstone of talking therapy. Confidentiality standards are
designed to safeguard your privacy and personal information. There are limits to confidentiality in the event of a safeguarding concern. I will
explain this matter during our initial consultation.
Are the sessions held online or in person? I can offer telephone, online, and in-room sessions.
Have you registered with any professional bodies? Yes, I am registered with the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS).
My membership number is NCS22-01033.
Are you DBS registered? Yes, I am registered for the DBS online update service. My registration number is 001772023502.
